Havana, Nov 6 (RHC) The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated this Sunday the combatants of the Cuban Military Counterintelligence (CIM), on the occasion of their 60th anniversary.

In his Twitter account, the dignitary described the members of that body of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) as faithful defenders of the Homeland and the Cuban Revolution.

Army General Raúl Castro Ruz presided over the political act and military ceremony for the anniversary, held the day before at the Higher Military School 'Comandante Arides Estévez Sánchez' in Havana.

In a letter read by Major General Victor Rojo, head of the Political Directorate of the FAR, he expressed his certainty that the members of this prestigious body will continue to preserve the work of the Revolution.

The Army General received a diploma recognizing his condition of founding chief of this organ of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and his work during these six decades as an educator par excellence of generations of officers.

In the central words of the ceremony, Major General José Miguel Gómez, the head of the institution founded on November 7, 1962, described that date as a glorious day for those who were trained there. (Source: PL)
