Cuban businessmen and health officials are visiting Egypt to strengthen cooperation relations in that sector

Havana, Jan 12 (RHC) Cuban businessmen and health officials are visiting Egypt to strengthen cooperation relations in that sector, diplomatic sources reported.

 

According to a message from the Cuban Embassy in that North African country on its Twitter account, Luis Fernando Navarro, deputy minister of Public Health, is leading the group from our country.

 

Last November, Cuban Health Minister, José Ángel Portal, visited the Egyptian capital, Cairo, where he was received by his counterpart, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.

 

During that visit, the two countries signed a Plan for Medical-Scientific Cooperation between their Ministries of Health and had previously signed a memorandum of understanding that covers collaboration in areas such as scientific exchange, human resources training, and counseling.

 

Portal Miranda and Abdel Ghaffar also discussed and identified possible areas of cooperation between their countries (Source: ACN).
