Diaz-Canel and Marrero Cruz presented the recognition to the Customs Department

 

 

Havana, Feb 4 (RHC) On Friday, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero delivered a recognition to the General Customs of the Republic (AGR) on the 60th anniversary of its founding.

 


The official ceremony marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of the General Customs of the Republic was held in the Universal Hall of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR).  
 

Customs in Cuba is an agency of control and inspection at the border. Among other missions, it is responsible for detecting and combating drug trafficking, terrorism, and smuggling, as well as protecting the population, national industry, and the environment. It applies controls on persons and goods entering or leaving the country. (Source: Granma newspaper).
