Rodrigo Malmierca met with representatives of nations attending the 5th Conference of the Least Developed Countries.

Doha, Mar 6 (RHC) The Cuban delegation participating in the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) is holding several bilateral meetings.

Led by the island's Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, the Cuban delegation held a meeting with India's Minister of State for External Affairs, Rajkumar Singh.

Rodrigo Malmierca met with representatives of the nations attending the V Conference of Least Developed Countries.

In the meeting, they examined the progress of bilateral economic cooperation, especially credits for renewable energy projects, Malmierca detailed in his Twitter account.

The Indian minister also ratified his support for Cuba's pro tempore presidency of the 77+China Group.

Likewise, he exchanged ideas with the Chinese delegation to the V Conference to promote projects that will benefit the member countries of the Group of 77.

The LDC Conference, which will be held until March 9 in the Qatari capital, will be attended by presidents and ministers from 33 African countries and 12 Asia-Pacific countries, Haiti and Cuba.

This meeting is a unique opportunity to accelerate sustainable development in the places where international aid is most needed and to take advantage of the full potential of the least developed countries by helping them advance on the road to prosperity. (Source: PL)
