Parliamentary candidates approach Cuban youths

Havana, March 11 (RHC) Parliamentary candidates to the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) from Matanzas approached young people from the territory to learn about their actions.

 In the framework of the candidates’ tours of the province, they met with several sectors of society, including representatives of the Young Communists League (UJC).

Parliamentary candidate Jorge Luis Broche explained that the country is going through a very important process regarding the upcoming elections on March 26, when young people are fundamental in the process.

According to Broche, who is also a member of the secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), the new generations have a lot to contribute to the country. He also highlighted the role of young women in the country’s leadership.

During the meeting, also attended by the first secretary of the PCC in Matanzas, Susely Morfa, and Labor Ministry official Alisbeth Isaac, local young leaders discussed the current challenges of the organization and their work in support of the electoral process.

Talks with representatives of the Cuban Bread Company in the province and residents in the Peñas Altas People’s Council also met with the parliamentary candidates.  (Source: Prensa Latina).
