At the meeting, Cabrisas highlighted the relationships that ICAO and Cuban civil aviation have maintained for decades in various areas of development. For his part, the organization's secretary general, Juan Carlos Salazar, expressed his delight with his visit to Havana, where he was able to see the Air Navigation Center and held meetings with authorities and specialists in the sector.

The Ministry of Transport and ICAO signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of civil aviation. The document recognizes the potential for the training of personnel of the sphere and the modernization of the infrastructure.

According to Salazar, with the agreement his entity hopes to continue strengthening cooperation ties and explore new areas.
