Saudi Arabia's Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman sent congratulations to Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel after his re-election for a second term.

Havana, April 30 (RHC)-- Saudi Arabia's Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman sent congratulations to Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel after his re-election for a second term.

According to diplomatic sources, in the message the crown prince expressed his best wishes to the Cuban president and the friendly people of the island, to whom he predicted success for further progress and advancement.

The collaboration between the two countries began before the inauguration of the embassy in Havana in April 2011. Since then there has been a close relationship between the two governments, consolidated in economic and cultural cooperation projects.

As for the health sector, there is a strong collaboration through an agreement signed between the parties that also contemplates the sending of Cuban doctors to Saudi Arabia and the stay of specialists from this Arab nation in the Antillean nation.

Likewise, medicines such as the well-known Heberprot-P were applied to Saudi patients, thus avoiding the amputation of their limbs, which has been recognized by officials of the kingdom, who highlighted the aspirations to continue increasing collaborations in all economic, social, cultural and political spheres.
