Day of solidarity with Cuba began in the United States

 

Havana, June 21 (RHC) A day of demonstrations, events and caravans began this Wednesday in the United States in order to demand that US President Joe Biden remove Cuba from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism.

The activities will last until next Sunday and are led by the Solidarity Network with Cuba in the northern nation.

At the beginning of the day, there was a panel session on the subject Reasons and repercussions of the inclusion of Cuba in the list of countries that sponsor terrorism, headed by Alejandro García, diplomat from the Embassy of the island; Calla Walsh, from the National Network on Cuba, and Vicky Grass, from the Latin American Working Group.

The main venue for the events will be Washington, where the demonstrations of support for the Cuban people will culminate with a protest in front of the White House.

The National Network on Cuba is expected to participate along with 85 other US organizations that will carry out actions in more than 20 cities under the slogan: End of US economic terrorism against Cuba!

The Canadian Network of Solidarity with Cuba, Pastors for Peace, the Cuba and Venezuela Solidarity Committee, the Codepink organization, as well as associations of Cubans residing in the United States and Canada will also join the initiatives. (Source: PL)
