International Scientific Convention in Cuba will promote Agenda 2030

 

Havana, Aug 16 (RHC) The Second International Scientific Convention of the Carlos Rafael Rodríguez University of Cienfuegos will be held from October 24 to 27 in this Cuban city, with the participation of academics, researchers, students and other specialists.

The scientific event will focus its thematic axes within the framework of the 2030 Agenda and the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals. It will also promote an exchange of knowledge and experiences and the projection of lines of action for decision-making to meet these Goals.

As reported in the Call for the Convention, the main themes will be the internationalization of Higher Education; university teaching and transformation of educational processes; energy, environment and sustainable development.

During the convention, international workshops will also be held on Research on the Management of Fragile Ecosystems, Business Management and Local Development, as well as Food Security and Sustainable Agrarian Transformation.

The program will also include the presentation of books and monographs; master lectures, seminars and symposiums.

The Carlos Rafael Rodríguez University of Cienfuegos has the mission of managing innovation and inclusive participation through knowledge, the comprehensive and continuous training of competent professionals for the revitalization of the sustainable socioeconomic development of the territory.

Currently, this Cuban university is made up of seven faculties: Social Sciences, Humanities, Agricultural Sciences, Education, Economic and Business Sciences, Physical Culture and Sports Sciences, and Engineering. (Source: PL)
