Festival Varadero Josone comes to an end

Havana, Aug 28 (RHC) After seven nights of presentations in which the talent of renowned Cuban and foreign artists was enjoyed, music came to an end this morning at the Varadero Josone Rumba, Jazz & Son Festival.

The public enjoyed the work of national artists such as Muñequitos de Matanzas, Elito Revé y su Charangón, Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor, Los 4, and the Colombian Yuri Buenaventura and his Orchestra, among others.

For the fourth consecutive day, Josone Park, in the spa city of Varadero, hosted the Festival presentations, in which different musical genres converged as an expression of alliances between performers of various generations.

According to Pachito Alonso, with the Varadero Josone Rumba, Jazz & Son it was possible for experienced artists and talented young people taking their first steps in the music industry to be able to interact with the public.

For the singer Haila María Mompié, good Cuban music can be made in any genre, take advantage of traditional rhythms, new trends and unite them for the sake of contemporaneity.

Initiated last Monday at the Teatro Sauto in the city of Matanzas, from Thursday night until early today, Josone Park was the epicenter of a Festival valued as successful by both musicians and journalists as the general public.

The support of promoting organizations such as the Ministry of Culture, the Cuban Institute of Music and the Cuban Music Recordings and Editions Company and the maestro Issac Delgado, leading figure of the project, enabled the successful development of the third edition of the musical festival.

The Varadero Josone Rumba, Jazz & Son Festival made it possible to enjoy different musical genres in direct contact with excellent landscapes of the seaside resort, the main sun and beach tourist destination in Cuba, to which the Sauto Theater was added this year. (Source: PL)
