Cuban and Panamanian businessmen promote greater exchange

 

Havana, March 8 (RHC) A meeting this Thursday between Cuban and Panamanian businessmen attending the 40th International Trade Exhibition (Expocomer), made it possible to promote new spaces for business and bilateral exchange.

At the meeting, which was hosted by the Cuban embassy to Panama, the island's ambassador, Víctor Cairo, highlighted that this meeting accentuates the potential of exports and imports for the benefit of both countries.

The diplomat reiterated that Cuba and Panama are a great connection, alluding to the similarity of cultures, geographical position and having a bilateral regulatory framework.

The general director of the Light Industry import and export company, Edel Rodríguez, presented the Cubaindustria 2024 Convention, which will take place from June 17 to 21 in Havana. He invited his local peers to attend the forum that aims at encouraging productive transformation, innovation, import substitution and exports.

According to Rodríguez, the meeting is also aimed at encouraging the productive chain, as well as complementarity and industrial integration.

The meeting between businessmen from both countries also included a sample of products, and the participants were able to appreciate the art of a tobacco rolling machine.

On the first day of Expocomer, which ran until this Thursday in parallel with the tourism, logistics and franchise fairs, Cuba inaugurated its pavilion with the presence of the main authorities of the host Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama. (Source: PL)
