Cuban First Vice President Meets with Professors and Students on Quality of Education

Santa Clara, November 12 (RHC) -– Cuban First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel visited education centers in the central city of Santa Clara and met with professors and students on the quality of the teaching process during the current school year.

Diaz-Canel visited an elementary school, where he was informed about the curricula and other collateral educational activities, as well as the relationship between the school, the families and the community as a factor that contributes to the better performance of education in achieving integral development of the students.

Accompanied by the local government president, Jorgelina Pestana, the Cuban vice-president also visited a secondary school where he learned about the teaching process, the material resources and other conditions that guarantee the educational process.

He also toured economic centers, like a plant producing polypropylene sacks to transport different kinds of beans or grains, where he learned about the stability of labor at the entity, which production depends on the import of raw materials, and the experience of the workers to guarantee the production schedules.
