Brussels, June 8 (RHC)-- Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Abelardo Moreno said in Brussels that the European Union's position on Cuba is developing positively and pointed to the rejection by the European bloc of the over-50-year U.S. economic blockade of Cuba.

Speaking with reporters in the Belgium capital, Moreno said that Havana is particularly interested in the position that the European Union has assumed with respect to the U.S. blockade policy. The Cuban official said that Brussels not only rejects the coercive and extraterritorial measures, but also calls for the end of that U.S. policy in all its forms, adding that he expects that this week's summit of the European Union and CELAC, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, adopts the European position to its final documents.

Moreno recalled that after the summit, Brussels will host the fourth round of talks on the political and cooperation dialogue between the European Union and Cuba, slated for June 15th and 16th.
