Cuba to Hold International Workshop on Community Medicine

Matanzas, October 22 (RHC-PL) -- The International Workshop "Community Medicine in Cuba and its Impact on Quality Life of the Population, SICAMAT-2015" will be held in Matanzas from October 28th through the 30th, according to organizers of the event. The workshop will be attended by nearly 130 specialists and the working sessions will be held at the Juan Guiteras University of Medical Sciences in Matanzas.

The central topics will be 'University management in medical education', 'Health work in the communities', and 'Psychology and health in the community'. Topics related to 'Community strategies and the elderly', 'Natural Products', and 'University, Ecology and Social Development' will also be discussed, according to the source.

The forum will include conferences, panels, symposiums and poster sessions on its agenda. The exchange and discussion of issues related to the role of Medical Universities in Community Medicine and the quality of life of the population are among the objectives of the event. The organizers of SICAMAT-2015 expect to analyze and exchange experiences during the academic conferences on topics related to University and Society.
