Shanghai, 13 oct (RHC) El tenista suizo Stan Wawrinka fue eliminado en los octavos de final del torneo de tenis de Shanghai, tras perder de manera sorpresiva ante el francés Gilles Simon.
El número tres del ranking y reciente campeón del Abierto de Estados Unidos cayó por 6-4 y 6-4 ante Simon en una hora y 36 minutos de partido.
En cuanto al francés Simon, número 32 del ranking, chocará en cuartos de final con el estadounidense Jack Sock, que dio igualmente otra de las sorpresas del día al doblegar al canadiense Milos Raonic por 0-6, 6-4 y 7-6 (10-8).
