Renowned US musician and film producer, Robert Kraft, will teach a film music workshop at a young Cuban film and video maker’s event shortly.

Kraft, an Academy Award winner in 1989 for the tune Under the Sea from the Disney animated film The Little Mermaid, will give the workshop and a lecture on the issue during the Young Film and Video makers Festival, scheduled for Havana from March 31st through April 5, which promotes the audiovisual work produced by young Cubans under 35.

A President of Fox Music Inc. between 1994 and 2012, Kraft has supervised the soundtracks of more than 300 movies and cooperated in different projects with performers, such as Linda Ronstadt, Bette Midler, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Johnny Mathis, Bruce Willis, Ozzy Osbourne and others.

He traveled to Cuba in 2009 for the first time to give a master class on the same subject at the Latin American Film Festival in Havana, stating that he loved Cuba, in particular its music, which he considered the best in the world. He also attended the 2010 Film Festival. Kraft also supervised the soundtracks of movies, such as Avatar, Titanic and Moulin Rouge
