Caracas, February 19 (RHC)-- Information from the social networks show that there is a media campaign by right-wing forces in Venezuela to try to criminalize the government of Nicolas Maduro.

On Facebook, there are a number of examples of manipulating information and photos, attempting to portray the police as attacking protesters –- but using photos of police beating protesters in other countries, including Chile and Egypt.

One example is a photo that supposedly shows a Venezuelan protester who was beaten by police. But the photo is actually from a demonstration in Spain, where security forces beat a protester in Madrid.

The Venezuelan government has denounced a strong campaign by the media against the Bolivarian Revolution, which is given space in other media outlets, especially in the United States, Chile and Spain.
