Los Angeles, June 1 (RHC)-- Two separate cases of gun violence in the United States have left three people killed and another one injured, according to police officials.

The first shooting incident took place at Orange County, California where two men were killed and a third man was injured. Police responded to 911 callers informing them of a shooting. According to police deputies, three men with multiple gunshot wounds were found on the residential street.

They were immediately taken to a hospital but two of them were eventually pronounced dead. The third victim has no life-threatening injuries and refuses to talk to investigators about the incident.

It is still unclear what led up to the shooting and investigations are ongoing. The neighborhood is normally quiet and a crime scene of this magnitude needs special attention. The police have blocked off the street.

In a separate shooting in Nashville, Tennessee a 17-year-old African-American teenager was killed in a crowded nightclub. The shooting occurred on Sunday and the victim is identified as Brandon Williams. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where attempts to save his life failed and he was pronounced dead.

Gun violence in the United States is one of the most frequent crimes reported to the law enforcement agencies. In 2014 alone, some 51,000 cases of gun-related incidents were reported, resulting in more than 12,500 homicides and some 22,000 injuries.
