49 COVID-19 positive cases confirmed in Cuba for a total of 669

Havana, April 12 (RHC) On Saturday, the Cuban Ministry of Public Health confirmed 49 new cases to COVID-19 for a total of 669 in the country.

In the daily COVID-19 update media briefing on Sunday, Dr. Francisco Duran, chief of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Public Health, said of the 669 patients diagnosed with the disease, 543 show stable clinical evolution.

In the last 24 hours, two more patients died bringing to 18 the number of deaths reported. Two patients have been evacuated, 15 patients were discharged for a total of  92 recoveries.

Eight patients were reported to be in critical condition and six in severe condition.

Dr. Duran added 2,302 patients are hospitalized for clinical epidemiological surveillance. Another 8,348 people are being monitored in their homes by the Primary Health Care system.
