Cuba confirmed 1,435 Covid-19 cases and 19 deaths

Havana, October 21 (RHC)-- Cuban health authorities confirmed 1,435 positive cases of Covid-19, 115 less than the previous day, and 19 deaths due to complications associated with the disease.

Since March 11, 2020, the country has registered 941,562 diagnosed cases and 8,133 fatalities, said the national epidemiology chief, Francisco Durán.

There were 6,392 positive patients hospitalized.  

Duran also reported that Cuba had vaccinated 70 percent of its entire population (just over 11 million 180 thousand) with the complete anti-Covid-19 scheme.

A total of 6,857,60 million inhabitants of the island have already received the three doses included in the national immunization program, a figure that includes those convalescing from the disease, to whom an injection of the Soberana Plus vaccine is administered.
