Havana, April 21 (RHC) -– A trade mission representing 18 Jamaican companies arrived in Cuba on Monday to promote products in that market, EFE news agency reported.

Diane Edwards, president of JAMPRO, the agency promoting the trip, said Cuban authorities have embraced this opportunity to strengthen commercial ties with Jamaica.

JAMPRO's "largest trade mission to Cuba in its history" is being led by Investment and Trade Minister Anthony Hylton and the presidents of the Jamaica Exporters' Association and the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce are among the members, Edwards said.

Berger Paints Jamaica Ltd., Caribbean Cement Company Limited and Digicel Group are among the companies represented on the mission.

The mission's visit is scheduled to end on Thursday, the 23rd.
