International conference ‘Peoples and their culture’ in Granma province

Havana, March 19 (RHC)-- The 13th international conference ‘Peoples and their culture’ began sessions online from the Cuban province of Granma in times of Covid-19.

Sponsored by the National Heritage Council, the event, running through March 21st, gathers researchers and scholars from Latin America, promoters of tangible and intangible heritage.

Dedicated to the 200th birthday anniversary of Francisco Vicente Aguilera, funerary heritage, son music and to Holguin province, the program includes debates, photo exhibitions, the release of audiovisual materials and virtual tours of historic sites and monuments.

Delegates are debating some 50 papers dealing with the preservation of Cuban and universal heritage.
