Renowned Cuban journalist Cecilio Curbelo dies in Havana

Havana, March 25 (RHC)-- Cuban journalist Cecilio Curbelo Chongo, recognized for his vast career in radio, died Sunday in Havana, national television reported.

Curbelo Chongo worked for more than 30 years in the program Haciendo Radio, on Radio Rebelde, in the section on Natural and Traditional Medicine, and also in permanent interaction with listeners to handle complaints from the population.

He also left his mark on the radio station COCO, El Periódico del Aire, and as a grassroots union leader.

For several years he was a contributor to the Latin American news agency Prensa Latina and writer of a program dedicated to the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution.
