Messi trains with PSG

Paris, September 27 (RHC/PL)-- Argentinean soccer star Lionel Messi trained on Sunday with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), but his presence in Tuesday's call-up against Manchester City in the Champions League of European soccer remains uncertain.

According to L'Équipe and Le Parisien, the 34-year-old striker returned to training at the Camp des Loges, after missing two Ligue 1 matches due to an injury to his left knee last Sunday in the match against Olympique Lyon in the sixth round of the French championship.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino will decide on Monday whether or not to include Messi in the squad against City, once the Red and Blue's No. 30 will join his teammates for a morning practice session ahead of the Champions League clash, a rematch of last year's semifinals, which were dominated by the English club.

Italian midfielder Marco Verratti also returned to training on Sunday, a star player who has not seen action for PSG since the end of August.

In any case, Verratti's lack of playing time in recent weeks makes it unlikely that even if he is called up for the red-and-blue, he will start at the Parc des Princes in the capital.

Against Josep Guardiola's City, PSG will be without Argentine winger Angel Di Maria due to suspension.
