Norway and France to play in women's handball world final

Havana, December 18 (RHC)-- The teams of Norway and France will play in the final of the women's handball World Championship, after beating Spain and Denmark, respectively.

The Nordic women defeated the Iberian hosts 27-21, denying them the possibility of reaching the final for the second consecutive World Championship, this time in their own backyard, with an aggressive style of play and a great variety of combinations.

For their part, France needed to come from behind against the Danes to achieve an emotional success with a 23 goals to 22 scoreline, and returned to a final in these finals 24 years after the last time they achieved it.

The French will go for their third World Cup title this Sunday when they face a Norway team that will be looking to climb to the top of the podium for the fourth time.
