Team is sent to the U-23 Baseball Pan American Baseball Championship

Havana, June 8 (JIT) - The president of INDER, Osvaldo Vento Montiller, presented our national flag to the Cuban team that will take part in the U-23 Pan American Baseball Championship, to be held in Aguascalientes, Mexico, from June 10 to 19 of this month.

The ceremony took place at the Memorial de la Denuncia and gathered, together with athletes and directors, baseball glories such as Rodolfo Puente and Pedro Medina.

Christian Leandro Rodríguez García was in charge of reading the team's commitment, which was then signed by all the members.

The physical testimony of the commitment was handed over by captain Andrys Pérez to Lianet Pozo Cedeño, member of the National Bureau of the Young Communist League and president of the José Martí Pioneers Organization.

Pozo Cedeño was in charge of the central words of the ceremony, in which she highlighted the political and cultural significance of our national sport, the aspirations of the people for new triumphs and the commitment of the young people to achieve the medals and the ticket to the world event this summer.

Vento Montiller placed the national flag in the hands of Matanzas pitcher Naykel Cruz, escorted by Carlos Rafael Rodríguez González and Luis Alejandro Serpa Socarrás.

Singer-songwriter Raúl Torres and performer Claudio Cazar provided the artistic moments of the activity.

The 22 members of the Cuban team, together with their management team, then toured the Memorial and had an exchange with the top management of Inder, headed by Vento Montiller.
