Cádiz got out of the basement and scored its first three points with a 1-0 win over Valladolid in the start of the sixth round of La Liga Santander in Spanish soccer.

Havana, September 17 (RHC)-- Cádiz got out of the basement and scored its first three points with a 1-0 win over Valladolid in the start of the sixth round of La Liga Santander in Spanish soccer.

Sergio Gonzalez's team scored the winning goal in the 92nd minute after defender Joseba Zaldua's cross, a bad save by rival goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo and striker Alvaro Negredo's free kick that ended up in the back of the net.

At the José Zorrilla stadium, a stellar Jeremías Conan Ledesma, with a great performance under the three Cadiz goalkeepers, kept a clean sheet, while on the other hand, Valladolid once again played a good match, but lacked effectiveness up front.

Cadiz are in 19th place (penultimate), while Pacheta's eleven, without an easy start to the league season, suffered their second consecutive defeat, this time against a weak opponent, and will continue with their four points, in 18th place.

The sixth matchday reserves for today the clashes Mallorca-Almería, Barcelona-Elche, Valencia-Celta de Vigo and Atletic Club-Rayo Vayecano. On Sunday, Osasuna-Getafe, Villareal-Sevilla, Real Betis-Girona, Real Sociedad-Español and the Atletico-Real Madrid derby will be played.
