Havana, June 4 (RHC)-- The Holguin team defeated Cienfuegos 2-0 on Saturday in the tenth and last preliminary matchday, to sign the second ticket for the grand final of the 106th National Soccer League's Closing Tournament.

On the field of the southern stadium Luis Pérez Lozano, the northeastern Panthers were led by two goals from their star striker Cristian Valiente, both in extra time (minutes 56' and 80'), and with which he scored 12 goals, leader of the League if this Closing Tournament and the Opening Tournament won by Santiago de Cuba last month are added together.

Thus, the Holguineros finished as leaders of the preliminary stage with 19 points, one more than their victims of the day against those who will play in the final.

In another duel of the day, Havana was left with 17 points after its 2-0 victory against Guantanamo in the synthetic track of the capital La Polar. The goals were scored by the reinforcement from Villaclare, Roberney Caballero and Jade Nicolás, in the 11th and 72nd minutes, respectively.

In a game of pure formality, Santiago de Cuba defeated Matanzas 3-1 with a pair of goals by Yasmani Feraud (20' and 65') and another by international Rolando Abreu at 90'+2'. Yosniel Riscabar had scored the transitional equalizer for the Yumurinos in minute 42.

The final of the Clausura between the Marineros from the south and the Panteras from Holguín will start on the 10th at the Luis Pérez Lozano stadium in Cienfuegos, while the second leg will be played on the 17th at the Turcios Lima stadium in Banes.
