Colombia consolidates its position in Centrocaribes behind leader Mexico

Colombia in the Centrocaribes

San Salvador, July 5 (PL) - Colombia continues clinging today to the second place in the medals table of the Central American and Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023, by taking more difference in the most recent date with respect to Cuba, which is in third place.

The Colombian delegation won five titles on Tuesday to reach 56 and now surpasses the Cuban delegation, winner of two and occupying the third place by countries, in five crowns (56 against 51).

In addition, the representatives of the South American nation have 60 silver and 48 bronze medals and those of the largest of the Antilles, 37 runners-up and 42 third places.

Mexico continues unstoppable at the top of the medal table with 108 gold medals, 74 silver and 68 bronze.

In the fight for fourth place, Venezuela has 19 gold medals, 30 runner-up titles and 54 third places, and is close behind Puerto Rico, fifth in the table (17-20-33).
