Havana, February 12 (PL) - A valuable opportunity for collaboration in baseball is opened between Australia and Cuba with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between baseball entities of both nations.

The document was signed by Tanieris Diéguez, Cuban ambassador to the Commonwealth of Australia, representing the Cuban Baseball and Softball Federation (FCBS), and Mark Marino, executive director of the New South Wales Baseball League.

According to a note published in the portal cubaminrex.cu, both entities highlighted the interest in establishing cooperative relations and the common desire to collaborate in the promotion and development of baseball5.

The main objective of the agreement is to establish the legal basis for the initiation of a collaboration process between both entities to achieve sports exchanges in that sport, the note states.

The signing of the memorandum took place at the Cuban embassy in Canberra.
