Havana, May 8 (JIT).- Cuba obtained its second victory in the NACHC Men's Championship of North America and the Caribbean in Mexico 2024 by beating its counterpart from Canada 40-24.

The Cubans took off on the scoreboard in the same first half, winning 19 goals to 11.

At the end of the game the scoreboard showed a bulky 40-24 that showed the superiority over the Maple Leaf team.

The Antillean Hanser Rodríguez, one of the main figures of the team, led the offensive aspect by scoring seven goals.

Ronaldo Almeida, Frank Cordiés and Christopher Martínez scored five goals each to support Rodríguez and consolidate the powerful attack.

A fact that shows the excellent scoring capacity of the team led by Jover Hernández was the fact that all the field players, except the center Diosel Rondón, scored at least one score.

This Wednesday the rival will be Greenland, in a match that seems vital for both teams, understanding that it could be worth a ticket to the final.

The above derives from the fact that, in the opinion of experts, Greenlanders and Americans monopolize the favoritism to fight in the last match for the only available ticket to the 2025 IHF Men's Handball World Championship, which Croatia, Denmark and Norway will jointly host.
