Panama, Jun 24 (RHC) - After defeating Guadeloupe (5-2) and Guatemala (1-0), Panama faces Jamaica today in Texas, United States, looking to lead Group C of the Gold Cup qualifiers.

The Spanish-Danish coach, Thomas Christiansen, said he will be looking for a victory to finish undefeated in this key and qualify as first to the quarterfinals of the tournament, along with Mexico, Costa Rica, and the United States.

According to experts, La Roja has yet to defeat Jamaica in the Gold Cup and the last time they faced them, they lost 1-0 in the Final Four of the CONCACAF Nations League 2023-2024.

A draw against the Reggae Boyz is enough for the Canaleros to take the lead in Group C, while their Caribbean rivals, who began the competition with an unexpected 1-0 loss to Guatemala and then recovered with a 2-1 win over Guadeloupe, must win to keep their hopes alive, since a loss, combined with a win by Guatemala over the already eliminated Guadeloupe, would leave them out of the tournament.
