Havana, July 7 (RHC) - French soccer player Kylian Mbappé withdrew his criminal complaint for moral harassment against Paris Saint-Germain, putting an end to the legal proceedings opened in May against his former club.

The Real Madrid striker, who had also accused PSG of attempted extortion, decided to close this stage after the intervention of the Paris prosecutor's office and two investigating judges, as revealed by the newspaper L'Équipe. The decision seeks, according to sources close to the player, to "calm the waters" and focus on his new sporting stage.

Despite the gesture, the dispute is not over. The French international maintains his lawsuit before the Council of Prud'hommes, the French labor court, where he demands the payment of 55 million euros in wages and bonuses allegedly owed by the Parisian club.

The atmosphere between the parties has changed in recent weeks. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi said on June 10: "I wish him all the best at Real, with all my heart."

Tomorrow, Mbappé will meet his former club again in the semifinals of the Club World Cup, in a duel with sporting, emotional, and even judicial echoes.
