Brasilia, June 8 (RHC)-- The government of far-right Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has stopped publishing new reported coronavirus deaths and infections.  Brazil’s health minister over the weekend took down a website that had published daily, weekly and monthly numbers of COVID-19 cases and deaths.

When the website went back on-line the next day, the total numbers of infections for states and the entire country were missing.

Brazil recently overtook Italy as the country with the third-highest COVID-19 death toll.  The latest figures, which are now not being officially disclosed, show the total infections of the coronavirus at 672,846, with 35,930 deaths.
