Caracas, June 18 (RHC)-- Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza issued a statement on Thursday in which his country demanded the cessation of acts of political, economic and communicational aggression by governments and international organizations.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, the diplomat indicated that "Venezuela condemns with indignation the development, on its behalf, of a new edition of the media farce: Donors' Conference for Venezuelan Migration."

"Venezuela condemns the cynicism of this caricatured convocation and demands that the governments and organizations participating in this obvious farce end their acts of political and economic aggression" against the South American nation, the statement said.

It further states that the initiative is "a vestige of the failed graft policy of maximum pressure and attempted coup d'état in Venezuela, promoted by the (Donald) Trump administration, accompanied by its most carnal satellites since 2018."

According to the statement, authorities from Spain, Canada and the European Union, under guidelines given from the United States, "exhibit a cynical reading" of the situation experienced by Venezuelan migrants, omitting that it is part of the imposition of a blockade and illegal sanctions, as well as the discrimination and exploitation.

Likewise, he denounced the political propaganda that has been promoted against Venezuela for the collection of funds, of which he assures that they do not know the destination of those resources that were supposedly collected in the last few years.

Venezuelan authorities reiterated their call for the release of the funds and assets blocked and preventing them from acquiring the necessary supplies and vaccines to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Likewise, they call for the lifting of the financial and commercial blockade, unilaterally and illegally imposed by the U.S. and supported by its allies, which affects the economy, stability and peace of the Venezuelan people.
