Díaz-Canel considered that the visit "gives continuity to the very satisfactory meetings we had with President Putin during our recent visit to the Russian Federation, also, to the one made to that country by the president of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo, and the last session of the Cuban-Russian Intergovernmental Commission".

He also valued that there is a particular follow-up by his counterpart, Vladimir Putin, and by the leadership of the Caribbean country to everything agreed upon last November.

The Cuban dignitary expressed that there are potentialities to expand cooperation, with mutual benefit, and considered that the presence of Russian businessmen guarantees the possibility of establishing concrete business projects.

He thanked "the support given by the Russian Federation to Cuba in the fight against the blockade" of the United States, and for the speed with which these exchanges are taking place to finalize the agreements of his visit to Moscow.

For his part, Titov Boris Yurievich assured that a new stage has been reached in the relationship between Cuba and Russia and informed that "a strong work of exchange has begun" at the level of the intergovernmental commission, ministries, agencies, and the entire Russian business community, at the indication of President Putin.

He stressed that "the main objective is to develop bilateral relations".

Also participating in the meeting on the Cuban side were Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, the President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Antonio Carricarte, and other officials from the Ministries of Economy and Planning, and Foreign Affairs.
