Buenos Aires, July 25 (RHC)-- With the leadership of the president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, and his vice-president, Cristina Fernández, the Frente de Todos alliance began this Saturday its path toward Argentina's primary elections, in the midst of the COVID-19 health situation.

In the framework of an event in the city of Escobar, located northeast of Buenos Aires, the political coalition presented several of its signings for a pre-candidacy for the Primary, Open, Simultaneous and Compulsory (PASO), scheduled for next September 12th.

The elections are crucial for the movement and take place in a context influenced by the global health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Some well-known faces in Argentinean politics, mainly young people, will run for a position as national deputies for the alliance.  That is the case of Victoria Tolosa Paz and Daniel Gollan, for the province of Buenos Aires; and Leandro Santoro and Gisela Marziotta, for the capital of two of the main districts.

The Head of State and the Vice-President called for unity and to rethink how to move Argentina forward in the stage that will overcome the pandemic, focusing on equality and equity of possibilities for all.

Cristina Fernández emphasized that since she started her political career 38 years ago, she has participated in all the electoral campaigns, but none of them resembles the one that is about to take place, due to the difficult context in which it will be presented.

Likewise, she indicated that in order to pay homage to those who did not survive and those who were saved from the coronavirus, the political forces should try to find a way to debate in Argentina that is not for marketing.
