La Paz, October 28 (RHC)-- The Minister of the Presidency, Maria Nela Prada, reported Wednesday that the Government of Bolivia will carry out a comprehensive plan of reparation to the victims of the massacres of Senkata and Sacaba, during the coup d'état in Bolivia in 2019, after concluding the dialogue with families of the victimss.

Speaking at a press conference in La Paz, the high-ranking Bolivian official declared that "we have addressed many points, not only those referring to their list of demands, but precisely those referring to the feelings that persist in the case of the victims, fundamentally to an issue on which absolutely everyone has agreed; relatives of the deceased, wounded, tortured and detained, which has to do with justice."

In talks lasting more than 30 hours, the need for a comprehensive reparation plan for the victims was addressed.  The families or survivors of the massacres of Sacaba (Cochabamba), and Senkata (El Alto), which occurred on November 15 and 19, 2019, respectively, called on the Luis Arce government for help in securing justice.

At the head of the governmental commission, the Minister of the Presidency, Maria Nela Prada expressed that the injured and relatives of the victims demanded punishment of those responsible for the "terrible violations of human rights."

They also demanded that the perpetrators of the crimes be held accountable for the "summary executions clearly and forcefully established in the report of the Interdisciplinary Group of Independent Experts (GIEI)."

The high-ranking Bolivian official emphasized that international norms and standards will also be taken into account for the path of integral reparation, which, according to the government authority, includes the execution of a census as established in the recommendations of the GIEI.
