Cuba vs China

Havana, July 20 (RHC) - Today, Cuba's men's team lost in five sets to China, jeopardizing its hopes of advancing to the 2025 Volleyball Nations League final.

The Caribbean team led for most of the match but lost in the final sets to the Chinese, who ultimately won 20-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-22, and 19-17.

The result leaves the Antilleans with six wins and the same number of losses, currently in sixth place in the overall standings, but depending on what happens in the rest of the day.

Bulgaria and Slovenia also have six wins and will later face Iran and Serbia, respectively, so if both teams win, they would displace Cuba to eighth place, with no chance of reaching the final.

There are eight spots for the final round, but since it is being held in China, the hosts have a guaranteed spot, leaving seven spots for the rest of the contenders.
