La Paz, November 24 (RHC)-- Defenders of the government of Bolivian President Luis Arce, who are leading a walk between the departments of Oruro and La Paz, expect to add new participants in the 255 km of transit that continued this Wednesday in its second consecutive day.

Different social groups will join the so-called March for the Homeland between both departments, which began on Monday to arrive in La Paz on November 29, according to the congressman and representative of the Yungas, Andrés Flores.

A group from La Paz will join the mobilization on that day to the government headquarters in order to support President Luis Arce and his vice-president, David Choquehuanca, he added.

In that sense, President Luis Arce thanked this Wednesday the march of social organizations that defend democracy and assured that it is an incentive to continue in the struggle for a better country.

"On the second day of the march, we thank thousands of sisters and brothers who walk the asphalt in defense of democracy. Each of their steps encourages us to continue fighting for a #Bolivia without racism and with social justice. Long live the #MarchaPorLaPatria!" he wrote on his account on the social network Facebook.

The march celebrates its second day this Wednesday and is led by the leader of the Movement Towards Socialism - Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples (MAS-IPSP), Evo Morales.

The mobilization that left Caracollo on Tuesday is expected to arrive in La Paz on November 29 to support the national government in response to the destabilization actions promoted by opposition sectors and the civic movement.

The deputy for the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) recalled that thousands of marchers left on Tuesday from the municipality of Caracollo in Oruro, to defend democracy and challenge the destabilization attempts of the civic and the right wing of the country.

Luis Arce presided over the beginning of the march together with Vice President Choquehuanca and the head of the Movement Towards Socialism - Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples (MAS-IPSP), Evo Morales.

Flores assured that among the protagonists of the mobilization are the Central Obrera Boliviana and the Unity Pact, integrated by the Conferencia Sindical Única de Trabajadores Campesinos.

In addition, according to local media, the National Confederation of Native Indigenous Peasant Women-Bartolina Sisa and the Trade Union Confederation of Native Intercultural Communities are also participating in the march.

For his part, Arce urged Bolivians, especially those participating in the march, to preserve unity in the face of opposition aggressions.
