Nasser Kanaani, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Tehran, Jun 27 (RHC) Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said on Tuesday that the atmosphere between Iran and Saudi Arabia is good as the US unilateral sanctions against his country failed.

Kanaani told a press conference that Iran's relationship with Saudi Arabia is normal thanks to the political will of the leaders of both sides, and legal frameworks have already been drawn up to improve economic and trade ties.

The official also stressed that both nations have an important role in establishing security in the region, and ratified the outstanding position of the Gulf Arab states with his country.

On the issue of Yemen, the diplomat made clear his government's respect for the decisions of the Yemenis themselves and emphasized its support for political dialogues and ceasefire.

As for Washington's unilateral sanctions against the Islamic Republic, the official pointed out that these failed, and did not produce the results desired by them in practice.

Likewise, Kanaani considered a change in US behavior as a prelude to any favorable attitude towards them. (Source: PL)
