Bolivia commemorates 198 years of independence

La Paz, August 6 (RHC)-- This Sunday, the Government together with the Bolivian people, celebrates 198 years of independence with official acts in the city of Sucre.

Since Saturday, national and regional authorities of Bolivia are in the constitutional capital of the South American country to witness the speech of President Luis Arce on the occasion of the national day.

Bolivia achieved its independence from the Spanish empire on August 6, 1825 and was re-founded as a Plurinational State with a new Constitution in 2009.
