Havana, Sept 14 (RHC) The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, offered this Thursday from his country's headquarters in Beijing, a press conference in which he presented an overview of his official tour of China that lasted almost a week.

The head of state highlighted the support the Asian country has always given to Venezuela in the face of the sanctions implemented by the United States. He also stressed that with the meeting he had with his counterpart Xi Jinping, the bilateral strategic relationship was raised to a new level.

The president applauded the signing of the Joint Declaration between the People's Republic of China and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the Establishment of the Strategic Partnership under All Trials and All Weather.

During the last day, the South American dignitary held a meeting with the president of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, Zhao Leji. He stated that both countries are driven by work and cooperation thanks to relations of respect and fraternity.

Likewise, he met with the Chinese Prime Minister, Li Qiang, to consolidate ties of support, with concrete objectives that allows the expansion of practical and prosperous bilateral cooperation in various areas.

The Venezuelan head of state reported that 31 working documents were signed in the context of the 17th Meeting of the China-Venezuela High Level Commission. The cooperation agreements include areas such as the Belt and Road, economy and trade, education, tourism, science and technology, health, aerospace and civil aviation.

Maduro revealed that, for the first time in 49 years of relationship, they have signed an agreement for Venezuela to place its products in the Chinese market, including coffee, avocado, fish and octopus.
