Washington, March 3 (RHC)-- Protesters rallied outside the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC, blasting Tel Aviv's ongoing war of genocide against the Gaza Strip.  The rally was held on Saturday outside the diplomatic mission, where an active duty U.S. airman burned himself to death last weekend in protest at Washington's unconditional support for the brutal military onslaught.

"It really gives me hope to see that everyone hasn't just given up.  There's still people willing to come out on a dreary day like today, and lend their voices to something positive, something moving towards a solution," one protester told AFP.  "The main message is 'Free Palestine.'  Really, that's it.  Everybody says it, but it's truly what we want," another says.

Aaron Bushnell staged the act of self-immolation in front of the embassy last Sunday.  The 25-year-old active duty member of the U.S. Air Force was dressed in military attire as he used a lighter to set himself on fire after dousing himself in a flammable liquid.  Bushnell said he will no longer be complicit in genocide before setting himself alight.

Israel launched the war on October 7th after al-Aqsa Storm, a surprise operation by Gaza's resistance groups against the occupied territories that was staged in protest at intensification of Tel Aviv's decades-long crimes against Palestinians.

Since the start of the offensive, the Tel Aviv regime has killed 30,320 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 71,533 others.

As part of its consistent political patronage for the regime, the United States, which is Tel Aviv's main benefactor, has so far vetoed three United Nations Security Council resolutions that have called for implementation of an immediate ceasefire in the Israeli onslaught.

The Israeli aggression also enjoys unreserved military and intelligence support on the part of Washington.
