Roll out the red carpet:   War criminal Netanyahu is coming to town!!

Washington, May 24 (RHC)-- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will soon address a joint session of U.S. Congress, Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson said on Thursday.

“Tonight I’m happy to announce something else to you.  We will soon be hosting Prime Minister Netanyahu at the Capitol for a joint session of Congress,” Johnson said to applause at the Israeli embassy’s annual Independence Day reception in Washington, D.C.

Johnson did not elaborate as to when Netanyahu’s speech will be, but the speaker tells reporters on the sidelines of the event that U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer informed him that he would sign off on the invitation.

The invitation to speak comes amid growing tensions with U.S. President Joe Biden over Netanyahu’s handling of Israel’s war on Gaza.
