Montevideo, October 7 (RHC)-- The candidate of the ruling Broad Front Party Tabaré Vásquez leads in the polls ahead of presidencial elections in Uruguay, set for October 26th.

According to a survey by the local pollster Factum, support for the former Uruguayan president stands at 42 percent, with which he holds a 10-percentage point lead over his main rival Luis Lacalle Pou of the National Party.

Experts predict that the presidencial election in Uruguay will be decided in a second-round vote, scheduled for November, and that the ruling Broad Front Party, which has a majority in parliament, has ample chances of winning, given that their proposed government program gives continuity to the social policies implemented by the current government of President José Mujica.
