Art and cuisine will interact in Gastrocult 2019 in Havana

Havana, January 3 (RHC)-- Specialists from five countries will interact in Havana, from January 8 through 10 in the Gastrocult 2019 academic program, which will be dedicated to India.

In making the announcement, Lis Cuesta, the president of the event's organizing committee, said that chefs, artists and lovers of Cuban cuisine from Mexico, Peru, Spain, India and the host country will meet at the recently opened Packard Hotel in Havana with the purpose of creating alliances between art and cuisine through conferences, tastings,  cooking shows, and performances.

In statements to Prensa Latina news agency, Cuesta, who is manager of academic services of Paradiso cultural tourism agency, said that Gastrocuilt it is an event that aims for an annual frequency and will highlight the culinary identity of the island. She also stressed that In three days of work there will also be master classes by renowned national and international chefs, presentations of specialized literature and a special conference on climate change.
