Havana, November 11 (RHC)—The chief of Cuban medical collaborators in Bolivia, Dr. Yoandra Muro, told Cuban TV newscast Sunday evening that all Cuban personnel deployed in the South American nation are safe in their homes.

Muro confirmed that the more than 700 are doing well, awaiting for information and in contact with their families.

The situation in the Andean is agitated after a coup d'état forced the resignation of its constitutional president Evo Morales Ayma.

Prensa Latina and teleSur reported Sunday that extremist opponents were besieging the embassies of Cuba and Venezuela in La Paz.
