Havana, February  8 (RHC)-- Medea Benjamin, the founder of the US NGO Code Pink, expressed her sorrow at the setback in bilateral relations between the United States and Cuba caused by the actions of the Trump administration.

During a meeting at the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Benjamin highlighted her rejection of the reinforcement of the blockade and the activation of Title Three of the Helms-Burton Act.

The Code Pink founder stressed that the United States is waging an economic war against countries such as Venezuela, Nicaragua and Iran, as a way of exerting pressure in their attempt to change governments that are not to their liking.

After describing the foreign policy implemented by Washington as dirty, Medea Benjamin called on the U.S. president to obey international laws and respect the sovereignty of the peoples.
