Díaz-Canel welcomes Rebeca Grynspan, Ibero-American Secretary-General

Havana, February 11 (RHC)-- Cuban President, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received the Ibero-American Secretary-General, Ms. Rebeca Grynspan on Monday.

The distinguished visitor is participating in the First Meeting of Ministers and High Authorities of Higher Education in Ibero-America, being held in Havana.

The encounter is part of preparations of the 26th Ibero-American Summit, which will take place on November 26, 2020, in Soldeu, Andorra.

In a cordial atmosphere, they exchanged on the state of the existing links between the Ibero-American General Secretariat and Cuba and ratified the will to continue working for their strengthening. 

They also highlighted the priority given by both parties to cooperate in the Ibero-American space and to the potential of innovation for compliance with Agenda 2030 and its Sustainable Development Goals. 

They also discussed other issues related to the mandate of that Organization.

The distinguished visitor was accompanied by the Director of the Subregional Office of the Ibero-American General Secretariat for Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America, Héctor Dada Sánchez.

On the Cuban side, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marcelino Medina González, and the Director-General of Multilateral Affairs and International Law of the  Foreign Ministry Rodolfo Reyes Rodríguez, participated.
